During the two-day Conference titled “Voices Out”, which took place on April 16 & 17 in Limassol, Centre for Life and the Support Center for people living with HIV/AIDS in Cyprus (KYFA) have inaugurated their cooperation. Having as a main goal the comprehensive support of people living with HIV/AIDS, their families and their partners, the two organizations will start implementing common advocacy activities.
The Conference has concluded noting great success, with relevant speeches being addressed by Mrs. Stella Michailidou, President of KYFA, Mr. Kostis Chatzimorakis, Centre for Life General Director, Mr. Linos Chatzichanas, M.D. on Infectious Diseases, Mrs. Natali Alkiviadi, lawyer specialized in patient’s rights, as well as many MPs.
Also in the context of the conference, a person living with HIV in Cyprus has for the first time talked openly about their experiences. The conclusions of the Conference’s second day will be submitted to the new House of Representatives in the near future.
